A new approach to thriving with ADHD

I help neuro-dynamic people (you’re dynamic not divergent) have Personal and Professional Lives that work with their ADHD - not against it.

I work in child psychiatry, diagnosing and treating various disorders, especially ADHD. Jasmine has the level of knowledge and professional background that even an "expert" could appreciate. I will always be grateful to Jasmine for all her help and support.

I HIGHLY recommend her!

Faith Caster, RN, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

“Since working with Jasmine, I've landed my dream job, completely cured my flight phobia, and stopped taking all medication - and in her words, "this is just the beginning."

ADHD Facts:

  • Women are 10+ times less likely to be diagnosed with ADHD and be treated for depression, fatigue, and anxiety instead.

  • ADHD can feel like having a crazed, uncontrollable animal in our head - or is that just me?

  • No two people experience ADHD the same way: coaching hundreds of ADHD clients has taught me this.

  • The #1 Problem my clients have is managing their professional lives. This hurts their personal lives. A lot …

  • IF setting timers and routines worked you’d be having that glass of red on the beach instead of while reading this. :-)

  • Going through stressful events or loss is harder for ADHD’ers because of the fear of rejection and self-doubt that comes with ADHD

  • New research shows that the ADHD brain does make enough dopamine but our DAT (dopamine active transporters) that remove dopamine work too efficiently leaving our brains craving dopamine. All. The. Time.

  • We hide who we really are. A lot….

  • Managing time Agnosia (the inability to sense the passing of time) is possible and can be elegant and foolproof 98% of the “time”

  • Out of sight out of mind is an ADHD thing - if we don’t see it “poof” it’s gone - or is it????

  • Developing a sense of humour about your ADHD brain is good medicine and key to state dependant learning - it makes learning new ways a lot more fun and easier to imbed and remember when you’re giggling.

  • The ADHD brains pre frontal cortex (decision making, thinking, impulse inhibition, attention) has decreased functioning power which affects our executive function: planning, time management (hard to manage when you don’t know it exists) self-control (impulse) recall (working memory)

  • The lagging prefrontal cortex and struggling with executive functioning tends to cause emotional dysregulation aka mood swings.

  • Overwhelm is the ADHD zip code - and the weather there sucks.

  • ADHD people suffer from social anxiety and perpetual loneliness.

  • Feeling different is normal for an ADHD brained human - we are different - people pay tens of thousands of dollars to learn how to connect dots like we do.

  • Money tends to be a problem for ADHD brains but once we come into right relationship with money we become unstoppable money magnets.

  • You’re brilliant, creative, sensitive, and competent beyond measure!

  • Fixing ADHD workplace pain takes more than icing the cake with bourgeois solutions like organizing your desk. (although that helps) Addressing the reasons underneath the mess or communication paralysis will give you the calm environment you need to work well, communicate clearly, and trust yourself.

  • New, customized systems, strategies & structures must be built to compliment the belief changes you make so you have lasting success. Example - if you stop lounging and start moving you’re going to need athletic shoes - those slippers just won’t do on the trail.
